Wow. I couldn't do it. I totally failed.
Probably pretty bad timing on my part.
I guess I'm busier than I thought.
Luckily, I seem to have run out of things to say.

But Shane, that means Nickerblog is over forever...you can't do that :(
I hope that you decide to break your own rules and keep the blog alive, however sporadically you post. You'll be sorely missed
xx

Come on, Shane, never say never...
When you have something you want to share without the pressure (self-imposed or otherwise) of having to produce on here, please do. I'll be checking in...
...hell, I still have AJ's blog favourited... ;)
You will be missed if you go!

Yep, you didn't even get in 100 words.
And how many days did you miss?
Boo. ha ha ha ha ha!
Just kidding!
I think you should stay.
Everyone runs into situations where they can't keep their word. It just happens.

Well, if it's any condolence you lasted longer than I did. Please don't do anything rash, some is better than none.

Feel the love...!

Oh, I seriously hope you reconsider ending your blog. I have a blog list that I go thru daily (well, almost ...), and yours is one I always look forward to, even when you don't post regularly. I admit I squealed with glee when you decided to post daily for a month, and happily returned every day to read your new post. But even when your posting was sporadic, I still checked in most every day, because I was afraid of missing even a single entertaining post. Besides, you know you will miss us, just like when you took a break over the winter holidays, and realized later you couldn't stay away. You will just have to do like your friend Wil, and figure out a way to incorporate your work with your blogging, so that you can feed both your audiences without either feeling starved. At the very least, you can't let Annie outlast you. Despite all her reluctance, she weathered the jibes (from you and Wil) and stuck it out and managed to maintain a compelling blog in spite of it. You can do no less .... Here's hoping we can enjoy reading your blog (no matter how infrequent) for years to come.

NO. NICKERSON. I DO NOT ACCEPT THIS.
Hand to god, I will show up at your house and kick you in the face if you stop blogging.

Oh, come on! You can get back on the horse.
Take a short break.
Also, read this post on Performancing.

Maybe do some reviews. Take some of those quizzes and tell us which Sex in the City character you are ... Spread a meme, try a new recipe. Just photos for a week. Just kind of push through it.

There's no way you could've run out of things to say. 30 posts in 30 days may not have worked out but you're at an incredibly busy time, and interruptions are bound to come up. Take a break if you have to but reconsider shutting it all down.

The secret here is not to throw the towel in and walk away from blogging on a regular basis. Give it a day or two rest and come back at it. Instead of every day try a couple days a week or something. It's not an all or nothing thing. Play with it, enjoy it.
